Privacy policy

How Essential Pest Control uses your information when you visit our website or contact us.

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Information we collect

Our enquiry forms collect your name, phone number, pest or service selection and message, including any suburb or property details you choose to provide. Some enquiry forms also ask for your company and industry. Email is required on our commercial service and industry pages. The form includes the source page so we can understand your enquiry.

The website host and service providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser details and request logs to deliver and protect their services. Please avoid including identity numbers, payment details or sensitive personal information in your message.

Why we use your information

Essential Pest Control is responsible for the personal information we use to handle enquiries. We use your details to respond, prepare quotes, arrange services and keep relevant business records. Processing is based on taking steps you request before a service agreement, performing that agreement, relevant legitimate interests or legal obligations, as applicable. Optional advertising measurement relies on your consent.

Providing enquiry details is voluntary. Fields marked as required are needed to handle your request; without them we may be unable to respond or prepare a quote. Submitting an enquiry does not opt you into advertising measurement.

Service providers and contact links

Formspree: our forms send the information you enter to Formspree to process and deliver the enquiry. Formspree may also process technical information for delivery and abuse prevention. See Formspree’s privacy policy.

Google Ads: if you allow advertising measurement, Google receives conversion events for eligible successful enquiries and WhatsApp clicks. Phone-click measurement may be enabled when a dedicated conversion action is configured. Events can include the page URL, advertising click identifiers, browser or device information and a random enquiry identifier used to prevent duplicate counting. We do not include your form fields in conversion events. See Google’s privacy policy.

WhatsApp and calls: choosing a WhatsApp link opens WhatsApp, where your messages and account information are handled under WhatsApp’s privacy policy. Phone links open your calling application. A measured contact click records intent to contact us, not a completed conversation.

These providers may process information outside South Africa. Formspree describes processing in the United States and other countries where it operates. The protections and rights available may differ between countries. Contact us if you need more information about the providers involved in your enquiry.

Cookies, storage and your choices

Necessary browser storage remembers your privacy choice for 180 days. After an accepted form submission, temporary storage in your tab holds a random receipt and timestamp. It is valid for 30 minutes and is removed when the confirmation page reads it. It contains no enquiry fields.

Google Ads is blocked until you accept advertising measurement. If you reject it, forms, calls and WhatsApp links still work. With permission, Google may use advertising cookies such as cookies beginning with _gcl_ to relate conversions to ad interactions. Their lifetime depends on Google’s settings and your browser. Website analytics and advertising personalization remain disabled.

You can change or withdraw permission using or the same control in any footer. Withdrawal stops further tracking and removes advertising cookies this website can access. Your browser can also remove cookies, including those held by other sites. Withdrawal does not undo processing that already occurred. If browser storage is unavailable, we may ask again on your next visit.

Retention and protection

Retention depends on the purpose of the enquiry, any resulting service relationship, legal recordkeeping requirements and the need to resolve disputes. Contact us to ask about a particular record or request deletion. Service providers apply their own retention settings and policies; this notice does not promise a fixed deletion date for their records.

Please contact us if you believe information has been disclosed incorrectly or a privacy issue needs investigation. No online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, including South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you can ask whether we hold information about you, request access or correction, request deletion where appropriate, object to processing and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Send requests to info@essentialpestcontrol.co.za or use the postal address above. You can also raise a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator.

Changes to this policy

We may update this notice when the website or our practices change. The date above identifies the current version.
